Visa information
For
stays in Venezuela of less than two months, a visa is not needed.
A tourism card (tarjeta de ingreso) is handed out on board the
plane upon arrival - (This card must be kept until the final departure
of the country).
For stays longer than 60 days, a tourist visa is mandatory.
The necessary documents to apply for a visa:
Passport, in which it is valid for at least 6 months from the
time of the application for a visa
A bank letter proving regular income, this letter should be addressed
to the Consulate directly by the bank + a document proving the
income of the applicant (employment certificate)
2 black and white identity photographs
All applications must be applied for in person at the Consulate.
If the application is done by post, it is required that a pre-stamped
envelope is with the documents.
The time to receive the visa: 3 days
Visa fee: US $10
Validity: maximum 1 year
This visa does not allow the beholder to practice a professional
activity.
Note: this visa cannot be exchanged for another type of
visa.
Student Visa
The necessary documents for application:
Consulate application form
Passport, in which it is valid for at least 6 months from the
time of the application for a visa
Document stating the applicant has been accepted to a Venezuelan
educational institution.
(Final registration confirmation of the university; the required
medical exams; diplomas and certified certificates from the Consulate
authorities).
Proof of the solvency and income of the student
Declaration of not being involved in a professional activity or
a lucrative activity in Venezuela.
